Finis Terrae

Very quick one tonight. As you might imagine, I’m a LEEETLE tired. And the web connection here is very slow. We have made it to Punta Arenas, and I have laid eyes on the Nathaniel B. Palmer. Tomorrow I’ll actually go aboard. Also tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., I collect my extreme weather gear.
Speaking of which, the weather here is surprisingly mild tonight — just a little below freezing, and no wind to speak of, a good omen, perhaps.
The name of our hotel? Finis Terrae, Land’s End, or End of the Earth. Lovecraft would probably have preferred the latter.
Will post something better tomorrow.
